Every wonder what homeschooling is like from a homeschooler’s point of view? This post is being written by Jeremiah, my fifth grade son. He’s a boy of few words. Writing is his least favorite subject so getting him to do this was quite an accomplishment!
When I wake up, I eat breakfast. My favorite is pancakes.
The first schoolwork I do is math. I do Teaching Textbooks on the computer. My mom doesn’t have to grade it, the computer does. I like my math program and it’s my favorite subject.
Then I do my reading and writing. My mom usually does this with me.
Some days we either do science or history. This year for history we are reading a lot of books and watching movies about people on our timeline.
Very soon, I think we are going to go to co-op classes. I’ve never been to a co-op before.
In my free time I like to play video games. Sometimes I stream on Mixer, it’s live but like You Tube. I also like to swim and go to the trampoline park. We go to the trampoline park with our homeschool group sometimes and I like to play dodgeball with my friends there.
As I mentioned in my post about homeschooling in small spaces, you can see we do schoolwork all over the house. Sorry about his “headset hair”, but you wanted real life, right?
