This has been a great week. I’m finally starting to get over my migraines. Or sinusitis?? It’s taken lots of prayer, cold meds, and colloidal silver.
Academically, we finished up our skeletal system and started learning about muscles. Even did a experiment on bones, and if I can gather enough empty milk jugs, we will make a skeleton. We’ve done that before for Halloween, but this time I will have the kids label the bones. And since it’s close to Halloween, I even found Cheetos shaped like bones!! (check out my Instagram pic!! Wait….you don’t follow me on Instagram?? Click the icon on my sidebar and you will always be in the know.)
Everything else is coming along and we have our groove going. I went to a thrift store this week and found a really neat game to help with money. And speaking of games, we also started playing with a game that we’ve been thoroughly enjoying and I will be doing a review post on it soon.
Today, I took Jeremiah to our local Family Christian bookstore to watch the newest Veggie Tales movie – The Beauty and the Beet. It is soooo cute and is about unconditional love. The story is about a Beet that owns a hotel. He rudely turns away a potential guest who claims she has no money but needs a room. Turns out, the “guest” was a reviewer for a TV show and gave Mr Beet a one star rating which almost destroys his business. It all works out in the end and has a great story. (No, I’m not giving any spoilers but this is a keeper!! Go get it for yourself!!) Kellie Pickler (remember her from American Idol??) plays the main character so of course, there’s lots of great songs. We went to the noon showing and one of the workers gave Jeremiah some stickers (and even a bonus of bubble wrap). And of course, Jeremiah found some things to put on his Christmas wish list.
Jared got to go with our youth group to a corn maze. And he got sunburned. Go figure. It’s October…in Florida.
Oh, and we had a nail biter of a football game this week. I don’t like those. We won but it was very, very close. But the weather has been amazing!!!
And did you wake up early to see the blood moon this week?? I did. Couldn’t get all the kids up though. And I forgot to bring my tripod so all of my pictures turned out blurry.
And tonight, Jared and I are headed off for a sleep study. Well, he is. I’m just staying with him. I’m writing up a post about it since right now (Oct 6-13) is Sleep Apnea Awareness Week.
Oohhh…and I made a yummy new French toast recipe!!
Here’s my weekly recap collage….a little late…
