My family has learned when I am struggling with trying to control things that I am trying to just trust about, I tend to play the same songs over and over. Music has always ministered to me in a special way. Here are my go-to songs that speak to me and help me release situations to the One that has ultimate control over it all anyway.
This song was played on repeat during one of my darkest seasons in my life. It still speaks volumes to me.
This song is actually fairly new to me but I also think it was a God send.
This is my prayer.
The first time I heard this song, I was driving down the road praying about not knowing what to do and asking God to just verbally tell me where we are supposed to go. I was stressing out and worrying even though I couldn’t actually do anything about the situation even if I knew what the desired outcome would be. While I’m praying, all of a sudden I realized what the words were saying, “You did not create me to worry.” Wow. Just what I needed to hear at that moment.
I absolutely love this song and you can hear the original song by Travis Greene. However, I really enjoy the worship of this choir singing it. This is taped during a church service and while I can embed the video to start at the song, I can’t stop it afterwards. I just think this song needs to be sung while worshipping so enjoy this version.(It’s also ASL interpreted so that’s pretty cool too.)
