I have always wanted to be a fly on the wall in other homeschool family. You know, the ones where the kids get up early in the morning excited to learn something new, eating healthy meals, the older kids patiently helping the younger ones. I know they have to exist. Right??!!! I just want to know how super homeschool mom does it. Share your wisdom, O Great One.
I’ve been homeschooling forever. Okay, for nineteen years. But it seems like forever. And I have learned one thing – there’s no “perfect” homeschool family. I have yet to find one anyway. And our homeschool tapestry changes as kids age, graduate, and more come along to enter the more formal years of learning. Now, I have only boys to homeschool. And let me tell you, folks, it’s a whole ‘nother ballgame!! You may or may not find me hiding out in my bathroom, quietly banging my head against the wall. I often text my girls just to say “I love you and really miss the days you were younger.” They have no idea why.
Now, I’m going to share a “typical” day with you. Warning: it’s not
If you are a regular reader, then you see a weekly recap of what our week was like. I always share some nice photos. But here’s some behind the scenes for you:
And to get any photos, I get to look thru tons of these:
But then sometimes….I realize it’s all worth it.
And that’s a look into our homeschool life. What else you don’t see? When the house is messy, we are all still in our pj’s, or when we eat cereal again for lunch because I still haven’t had time to go to the grocery store.
Some of my fellow Schoolhouse Review Crew members are also sharing their homeschool life in pictures. (The link will not go live until Oct 8th but then be sure to check out what everyone else’s life is like.) How fun.
