I’m doing a challenge where I am going to try to follow Trim Healthy Mama 100%. Committing to a 30-day challenge is a little unnerving for me and is a sure way to make sure that I will slip up, fail, and then completely throw in the towel. So I have decided to do a 24 hour challenge. And I plan on trying to do that challenge for every day in October.
Although I started on October 1st, I will try to do do an update every Saturday. Sundays are always hectic for me so if I fail miserably, it will probably be on a Sunday. That’s why I don’t want to do a weekly weigh in on a Monday. Anywho….
I started this past Thursday. I immediately got a headache. A very, very, bad headache. I’m not sure if it was caffeine withdrawal from no soda, hormones, stress or just the weather pressure from the hurricane although I don’t see how it is close enough to bother me.
So, I cheated. I got a soda. But I only have about 3 sips and my headache subsided and I dumped the rest.
I repeated that last night.
I think I will make some shrinker. It has oolong tea which I think has caffeine in it and maybe will help out.
I purchased the new cookbook and am loving the recipes so far!! As I’m typing this, I’m eating the Cheesecake Berry Crunch from page 352. It has become one of my favorites.
Other than the headaches, which I expected, the other side effect I’ve noticed won’t have me complaining at all!!! I’ve lost 2 pounds. And today is only the third day!! I don’t want to lose too fast but it’s nice to see a drop when I need the encouragement to continue.
